This was my first TDY and it was for
one month at Greenville AFB, Mississippi sharing duties with Tony Landa as a
technician supporting the experimental Sferics network. All part of Tornado
Alley weather network pinpointing lightning strikes as they occur on the
mainland USA. My next TDY was another one month stay for Sferics in Denver, CO
while Airman Bongiovanni was in the hospital.

In Kansas City, MO all signals from 5 remote sites are received simultaneously and converge on large CRT with US map overlay pinpointing lightning strikes.
Pictures are taken of the scope with 5 site signals intersecting at point of lightning.
