Lowry was a great duty station even as an Airman 3rd Class. A great looking base with a location next to Denver, a short drive to Boulder and Golden, CO.  Second phase Basic Training, Electronics School and B-47 Bomb-Navigation Systems School with classes on C-Shift school (6pm to 12am) were all a part of my stay here. A quick trip to El Paso, Texas and Juarez, Mexico over the New Year's holiday made it even more interesting. Lowry was an experience I will never forget.
